BLOCS Database and Research
The Bilateral Longitudinal Observations and Country Statistics (BLOCS) database is functional, public and free. The primary function is to consolidate observations related to bilateral trade and investment flows in order to investigate their relationships with institutional change ( including, but not limited to, trade agreements and tariffs). BLOCS was built on a foundation of DOTS (Direction of Trade Statistics) data provided by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The database includes information on trade tariffs (Andrew Rose), trade (World Trades Flows) and international investment (FDI stocks and flows from UNCTAD), international agreements (International Trade Agreement from Mario Larch and Design Trade Agreement, DESTA), economic (International Financial Statistic by IMF) and financial statistics (Balance of Payment by IMF and Debt Position from JEDH), and institutional information (Institutional Profile from CEPII, Regime Authority Characteristics from INSCR and Maritime Silk Road Acquisitions from Clark Banach). >Learn more about BLOCS
